Do you provide delivery, set up and take down?

Yes, we do the set up so you can have all the fun.  Bouncin’ Around only rents inflatable units when delivered, setup and picked up by our professional and courteous staff and the cost is included in your rental if you are within our Service Area. Ours, like most insurance companies in this industry requires that only trained personnel setup inflatable rides e.g. bounce houses, water slides and obstacle courses.  Please let us do the work while you relax enjoy your event or party.

 

What if we aren’t in your Service Area?

Additional mileage charges will apply if you are outside of our Service Area.  Please call us if you would like to discuss the delivery fee.

 

What is your Service Area?

Bouncin’ Around is proud to service the following locations:  Ardrossan, Sherwood Park, Fort Saskatchewan, Beaumont, Tofield, South Cooking Lake, Antler Lake, Half Moon Lake, Josephburg, Bruderheim, Edmonton and all points in between!  If you are outside of these boundaries, call for a quotation.

 

Why don’t you offer customer pick-ups at a lower price?

We don’t offer customer pick-up due to the fact our insurance will not allow us to do so. The savings is not worth the risk to our customers and their guests. The site inspection and set up is to only be done by a trained professional. If you decide to rent elsewhere, please ask to see if you are covered by their insurance.

 

Is a deposit required?

If renting more than one bouncy unit at a time, a deposit may be required.

 

What types of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, money order or certified cheque the day of the event, prior to the installation of the inflatable(s).  Please contact us prior to obtaining the money order or certified cheque.

A 3.5% surcharge will be applied for any credit card payments.  Unfortunately, we do not accept debit card payments.

 

What is your rental period?

Rental periods range from 3 to 8 hrs and are noted on the website.  If you require a longer time frame please call for pricing and deposit details.

 

Why is there no one under 3 years of age allowed on the bouncers?

Safety and insurance reasons!  Two years olds just don’t have the muscle development to properly protect themselves in the bouncers (especially if there are older children using the unit).  We want everyone to have fun and little ones with injuries definitely put a damper on things.

 

Where can your inflatables be set up?

Several items need to be considered prior to choosing the appropriate inflatable for your party.  You will need to visually survey your chosen party location to determine any limitations.  Check that there are no overhead obstructions such as tree branches or power lines.  Each of our units has their inflated height noted in the description section.  Make sure that there are no buried utilities such as gas, phone or water lines.  We usually stake the units for security and safety purposes, but may need to utilize other methods if buried utilities are an issue.  You will also need to ensure that there is enough ground clearance and there are no shrubs, trees, crushed gravel, etc… in your chosen area.

If in doubt about your location please contact us directly with your concerns.  We would not want to arrive at your party and discover that the area is unsuitable.  We also ask that you provide details as to the type and width of access to your party location as well as if any stairs are involved.  Some inflatables require a minimum width access path due to their size.  We reserve the right to cancel any rental for matters of safety.

 

Is electricity required?

Yes, electricity is required to operate all the inflatables, so please ensure your chosen area is within 50 ft of outlets, and that you have at least a 15 amp breaker.  We do have gas generators available if required.

 

What is your cancellation policy?

If your reservation is cancelled on the date of the event prior to setup due to rain or high wind conditions no charges will apply.  Full payment will be required if unit has been delivered and set up prior to the decision to cancel has been communicated to Bouncin’ Around.  All non-weather related cancellations require 7 days notice.  We reserve the right to cancel due to dangerous weather conditions at any time.

 

When do you set up?

The time of set up depends on our schedule load and routing for that particular day.  We will always take your time request into consideration in advance so we can accommodate your event.  Generally, we will arrive 1 – 3 hours prior to the schedules rental time.  If we have a heavy scheduled delivery day, we may need to set up as early as 4 hours in advance.  If this is the case, we will advise you of this plan and confirm that someone will be at the party location to review the safety instructions and complete payment.

 

We have rented some really dirty jumps from other companies in the past. Are they always that dirty?

No. The jump should be very clean when you get it. We clean and disinfect after every rental. We will not rent a unit to you that we wouldn’t put our kids in prior to the rental.

 

Do you have staff available to supervise the units?

Yes, staff are available to supervise the usage of the inflatable you choose to rent.  Please call for pricing.

 

Do we have to keep it plugged in the entire time?

Yes and No. The blower maintains air in the inflatable that supports the unit the entire time. If unplugged or if the power is interrupted the unit will deflate slowly as part of the safety features, but must be evacuated immediately. That is why we require an outlet within 50 ft. of the unit and supply commercial grade power cords. If the outlet exceeds 50ft. we offer gas generators at reasonable prices. If the winds exceed 20 mph the inflatable unit is deemed unsafe and must be unplugged and deflated to avoid damage to the inflatable and to the occupants. It is the customer’s responsibility to deflate the unit to avoid damage in case of bad weather during the rental without exception!

 

What surfaces do you set up on?

We can set up on grass (our favourite and best for the kids), asphalt, and concrete. Sorry, we cannot set up on any type of rock, stone or gravel surfaces as the constant rubbing will wear through the vinyl jumps and cause damage.

Please make sure all pet waste, rocks, branches, etc… have been cleared from the set up location to avoid delays in our installation.

 

Are we responsible for the unit if it gets a tear or damaged in any way?

Yes and no.  You are not responsible for normal wear and tear on our units.  Seams may develop tears in high traffic areas over a period of time.  If this happens please alert us at once so we can remedy the situation.  However, if damage occurs due to failure to follow our safety rules or negligence (i.e. not turning off the blower in high winds) you will be responsible for all damages up to and including replacement of the unit/blower, etc. We don’t want you or us to be in that situation which is why we have you sign and initial on all of our safety rules so that you can be a trained operator.
